Paris Metro - Extension of Line 14
SYSTRA was awarded the contract to project manage the extension of Line 14 to Mairie de Saint-Ouen.
This extension is designed to reduce overcrowding on the northern end of Line 13 via a 6.4km tunnel. It involves building a new 5.8km tunnel section and four additional stations: Pont Cardinet, Porte de Clichy, Clichy Saint-Ouen RER, and Mairie de Saint-Ouen. In the long-term, Line 14 will be a part of the Grand Paris network. Two further extensions are planned so that the line will cover a total of 30km. The first extension will run northward to the business park at Saint-Denis Pleyel and the second southwards from Olympiades to Orly Airport.
SYSTRA’s experts are responsible for project managing the construction of four new stations, the tunnel (track and connecting line to the maintenance and storage facility) and associated structures including primary and secondary work on technical facilities (fittings, low voltage power, smoke removal, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, drainage and signalling in the tunnel).
