Kil-Skåre, Värmland Line

SYSTRA was commissioned as technical consultant to improve accessibility at Kil-Skåre, Värmland Line, one of Sweden’s busiest single-track stretches.

The project will increase the capacity and improve accessibility through the construction of a 2.5 km long double track with lineblocking between two new operating sites, Stenåsen and Klingerud. The project includes the implementation of smaller geotechnical reinforcements and the relocation of a local street in Kil Municipality.

SYSTRA was the senior general consultant in this MBEST project and had responsibility for the signalling work, the design of 2 new interlocking model 59, in partnership with other subcontractors for the MBET.
