ERTMS Corridor B, Project South

SYSTRA received a contract to develop the basic design for the introduction of ERTMS on the southern part of Corridor B in Sweden.

The project aims to introduce ERTMS in order to facilitate transport across national borders, improve security and reliability, and increase capacity on the route. It also intends to replace the obsolete signalling systems and to reduce investment and maintenance costs.

SYSTRA project began with an initial phase where AKJ and masterplans were developed. Then part design was carried out on one route and one operating site. Thereafter, the basic design for the entire route.
